The roe rut was slow in the week beginning 22nd July, but was in full swing in the week beginning 29th July. We took 17 bucks in the 29th July week.

William Adams aged 11 years and 9 months shot his first stag and first grouse in Invernesshsire 15-18 August, in company with his father Mark, and elder brother, Patrick. Unfortunately father didn't get a stag -- he missed!! Much to the boys amusement.

Javier and Antonio Alonso from Spain took 9 roe bucks in 5 outings during the rut. 6 were on hill ground and 3 on arable farmland. There were a couple of misses too - all part of life's rich pattern. Picture in the pipeline.

Chris Bangs on 18th September, with an Ardnamurchan Royal stag at the larder. The gralloched beast weighed 19 stones.

Knut Maraas and 6 friends from Norway shot 7 sika stags in 3 days at Corriegarth and Errogie in the 3rd week of September.
