Wildboar hunting in Turkey can be done by individuals either by stalking or from high seats or by teams of 6 to 12 hunters on a driven hunt. It is possible to hunt the whole year for wildboar, but the best time for stalking or sitting in a high seat under the moon is from the beginning of June to the end of September. The best time for driving them is from the beginning of October to the end of February.
Eastern Anatolia is the place to hunt boars by stalking them in the snow and the best time is between November and the end of March. 5 days hunting, 6 nights full board, transfers, licenses and tax costs €2290 per hunter including the biggest boar you shoot.
A similar hunt is possible in the mountains and forests of the Black Sea region around the time of the full moon each month, but June to September is the best time. 5 days hunting and 6 nights full board costs €2100 per hunter including your biggest boar or you can pay €1300 per hunter and trophy fees on all boars. They range from €870 for 18cms tusks to €1770 for any tusks above 24cms.
The Black Sea region also supports driven boar hunting for groups of 9 to 12 hunters and is best bewteen 1st October and the end of February, when a team should get 25 to 45 boars, with a high percentage of tuskers, shooting 2.5 shots per kill. 5 days hunting and 6 nights full board and all trophies except sows (€200 fee) are included in the price of €2450 per hunter.
